Lovers of Truth
Lovers of Truth
Thank you for visiting my blog.
When we embark on a deep spiritual path, it is normal to feel alone. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve said something to a group of co-workers or friends, just to have them look at me like I have three heads.
When we start to wake up, we get more and more “Weird” to those who are enjoying the dream.
For a while we try to fit in, to hide who we are becoming so we can maintain relationships and avoid the feelings of loneliness and isolation. But it doesn’t take long to feel miserable pretending to be part of a world we no longer feel connected to.
This path we have chosen, those of us who are Lover’s of Truth and Seekers of our Beloved (as a Sufi, I call God “My Beloved,” but you can fit in whatever name works for you), can be a lonely one.
As we get closer to the Infinite Invisible, the things of this world fade away and hold less and less of our interest. This can cause us to feel isolated on our journey.
Remember, with our Beloved, we are never alone. No other person can ever be all we need in a companion, but our Beloved is all we hope for and more.
As we journey we find that nobody has the same path as we do, we accept our differences and rejoice in them as much or more than we do our likenesses. It is in our differences that we are stretched, challenged and purified.
Walk with me fellow Lover of Truth. At times hand in hand, at other times from a distance. Maybe we will journey together for a lifetime, maybe for a year or two, or maybe just for a few moments... but continue on we will, and through this journey we are blessed.
No matter how we are traveling, just the fact that we are traveling is the blessing.

This Journey towards Truth...
